ASTOUND Group has named Heather Clayton its new Chief Financial Officer, recruiting a finance leader with proven experience scaling complex operations in Las Vegas. Clayton arrives as the company launches mergers, acquisitions, new ventures, and intellectual property development. Her appointment bolsters the financial framework needed to sustain this accelerated trajectory.
Proven Expertise in Multi-Entity Growth
Clayton spent six years with the Vegas Golden Knights, rising from Controller to CFO. She directed accounting and finance through a surge that expanded from two entities to thirteen in just over two years. Her oversight extended to all related venues and five partnering foundations, while contributing to several hotel acquisitions that broadened the organization's footprint beyond core activities.
Prior to that role, starting in 2019, Clayton honed her skills in Las Vegas's casino sector at American Casino and Entertainment Properties. There, she advanced from General Ledger Manager to Controller, managing intricate financial structures in high-pressure settings. This trajectory equips her to oversee ASTOUND's financial strategy amid organic expansion and venture pursuits.
Sequential Leadership Investments
The hire follows ASTOUND's recent bolstering of its sports and venue team, with Karim Wazani joining as Head of Sports and Brittany Castle elevated to Senior Vice President of Client Partnerships. These steps methodically reinforce capabilities across operations. Where prior changes enhanced delivery for clients and partners, Clayton's role fortifies company-wide financial operations.
"Building a company of real scale takes more than exceptional creative and operational capability. It requires the financial leadership to match," said Dale Morgan, CEO of ASTOUND Group. "Heather scaled a complex, multi-entity organization in this market and did it at the highest level. She knows how to build financial infrastructure that enables growth, not just tracks it. Her joining us is a clear signal of where ASTOUND is headed."
Positioning in Las Vegas's Venue Ecosystem
Clayton steps in as ASTOUND deepens its Las Vegas presence, where it already provides experiential design, fabrication, and venue integration for major events and installations. The city increasingly serves as a center for entertainment and brand experiences, drawing organizations that demand comprehensive solutions. Her local market knowledge and scaling record position ASTOUND to capture demand at this venue scale.
"ASTOUND is at an inflection point that does not come around often," said Heather Clayton, CFO of ASTOUND Group. "The creative capability, the fabrication infrastructure, the client roster, the momentum: everything is in place for something significant. The opportunity to help build the financial foundation for that growth, in a city I know and love, was one I could not pass up."
